Voices of Seniors

After I started living in Japan, I had a different job from nursing care. I started this job because I thought I could continue working as a caregiver even after I got older. I could not work while my children were small, but now I work part-time. Eventually I plan to work full-time. My sister was already working at Excellent Hiratsuka. I heard that the staff was kind and the pay was good, so I moved to this company. There were a lot of things I didn't understand at first, but it wasn't too hard. My sister and my Japanese colleagues are calling on me and supporting me. I used to work at another nursing home. It was so busy there that I didn't have time to talk to the other staff. There were many elderly people who could not speak, so there was very little communication. I enjoy working here because I can communicate with my co-workers and the elderly. The elderly people speak kindly to me. When they thank me and praise my work, I feel happy and confident in my work. However, it is really hard to work in Japanese. The job of keeping records is difficult, but my co-workers help me learn it.

I believe that nursing care work is not difficult. It is an enjoyable job for those who like elderly people. Communication is also an important part of the job, so I believe that you will naturally become fluent in Japanese.
