Hi everyone！My name is Gamo Mickey.

I am one of the members of the Human Resource of the Excellent Care System assigned in Recruitment Department.

Working hand in hand with my team, I will be responsible on providing administrative support and communication which plays an important role in streamlining the recruitment process of foreign staff in the future. It is also my job to provide support from application to employment. Please rest assured that I will also provide appropriate support during employment as needed.

Allow me to share something about myself. I am from the Philippines currently based in Japan. When I was 20 years old, I was in a situation where I can’t speak and write Japanese, knowing nothing about Japanese language and culture to the point that I was already giving up. But then I met a beautiful humble 75 years old lady. She taught me that no matter what life brings you, you have to face and fight, and not be afraid of the changes because we only live once. This experience taught me to follow my heart and pursue my dream.
To pay back the kindness of the humble lady that supported me along the way, I’ve decided to become a caregiver.

I’ve been living in Japan for almost 13 years and for the past 9 years I was given the opportunity to work as a home caregiver and as a Unit leader. Starting from a scratch, working as a caregiver for 9 years has given me a deep understanding about the care industry, which is suffering from the chronic labor shortage due to the super-aging society. When I worked as a caregiver, I saw many staff members working hard to provide the best care to the elderly. And I realized that I would like to work hard to contribute in some small way to the aging society.
